Someone posted in a thread asking about this subject but I can't find it. Just contacted the coordinator about the subject and here's the reply. Hope it helps :P

Thanks for your interest in "Forests in a Global Context"

The subject will run over 6 days from Sept 18 to 23 and will include a one-day field trip (no cost) to forests near Melbourne.

Each day will consist of lectures in the mornings 9am-lunch time followed by discussion and study time in the afternoon.

The assessment consists of 150-250 word answers to 20 questions.

Four questions will be issued on each of the classroom teaching days of the course.

Online materials will be made available as resources to answer the questions.

Students will have until a week or two after the course finishes to complete the questions. Thus the answers will be due in early Oct. Answers are submitted electronically via the LMS.

There will be discussion of the aspects of "good" vs "not-so-good" answers so that students know what is expected.

Do let me know if you need further details at this stage.

On the topic of easy subjects, I reckon this one looks pretty sweet!

https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2011/EDUC10001

Might do it next year.  :)

This subject https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/current/460-680 according to a few of my friends who had completed it last year, is relatively easy and apparently it was really fun going off to schools and teaching little kiddies sport. I wish there wasnt any limit on level 1 breadth subjects because I would have completed this breadth next.

I know haha! Looks like the field trip will be on a Sunday. There will probably be 4 hours of lectures a day assuming it goes from 9am to 1pm, which isn't bad at all ;D

Yes, hehe, its not exactly a challenge,

I only went to the first lecture,

IMO he doesnt say anything that aren't in his notes or in his book (which directly addresses every question)

Besides, hes a mumbler

EDIT: Funny thing is, I emailed him and he said that only ~25% of students get a H1, and theres supposedly no quota, so either everyone is really dumb or...

Or everyone took the subject because they thought it would be a bludge and then put no effort into it. Same thing happens with Wine

Don't get too complacent now... It's going to hurt if you don't get the score that you want. xD

That's because they don't know the secret on how to get a really high mark ;) Obviously less that 25% comes for the tute and field trip hence the low number of H1s ;) ;)
