What do you's usually include in your language analysis?
like tone styles etc.?

My teacher way of writing a language analysis is so different from my new tutors style. Is there a specific way or format we should use?

thanks guys.  :)

For intro, you can give a short background issue to start things off. You should then mention the tone of the writer, identify the specific target audience before providing a succinct contention of the article. The body should be comprised of identifying and explaining the arguments your chosen techniques support, example/evidence(quotes) and reader affects, which are essentially the techniques' specific intent upon the readers.

For the above, I am assuming that you are an English student.

It is suggested not to label / "directly" include the effectiveness of the technique. It is possible to weave it in subtlety however best to leave it out all together.
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

Yeah I wouldn't include the effectiveness of the technique in the exam, though I am aware that some teachers make their students do it in school...
