Anyone doing COMP20008? Says there aren't any classes to register in, what's up with that?

Anyone doing ENGR20004? Is it just me or are there no tutorials available for registration?

That's weird; maybe just do your other ones and hope that it fixes itself. That department might have been slow to open up subjects for registration or something. You can also lodge something here to see if there's an official problem.

Just when I thought staggering registration times for each year level would makes things smoother for us 

Yeah, am I misremembering, or was this way more efficient last year.
Reeeeally hoping this isn't indicative of how 3rd year registration will go at 1:00... I could either be in at uni 2 days a week or 5 depending on class allocation

For the past two semesters class registration has been incredibly quick and smooth due to the staggered start. However, I think this was the case because they didn't change their servers (or whatever they're called) from the ones they used to try and cope with the whole university registration, so the lighter load meant things were able to go fast. I have a hunch they may have decided to downgrade their servers this year to save costs, thinking that they would cope with the seemingly lighter load. Obviously not.

What's the tips for class registration? Is it to open up a whole load of tabs on different computers and hope that one of them works? Or to keep refreshing etc

No, don't do any of that! You'll contribute to overloading the server and you will be sent to the back of the queue. You just have to sit tight, be patient and wait.

yeh I managed to register into everything except for anatomy...apparently they arent taking any registrations yet till the 15th of feb -.-

Nope. I just keep getting disconnected after about fifteen minutes of waiting.
