An electrical engineering subject (3rd/4th year usually) that deals with the control and stablization of systems (to the best of my knowledge). It's core to Mechanical and Mechatronics engineering as well in the MEng.

To the science undergrad who is a layman with respect to a lot of advanced physics/engineering terminology, what branches of science does it apply and why are they so difficult?

i.e. i have no idea of maths, but my friend explained that "complex analysis" (3rd year maths subject) is basically the calculus of complex numbers and it gets complicated in certain areas because you end up working in 4 dimensions.

with respect to that, what is control systems?

Could anyone doing Cost Management explain what the mid-semester results released today are out of?
Is the mark given out of 30, the marks of the test or 20, the percentage of the total grade?
Thanks

does anyone know what happens with non-written exams? I'm doing Principles of Business Law, and the exam will be computer-based MC Q, and currently isnt on my exam timetable. Is there a separate timetable for subjects like that?

When I did PBL last year, the LMS page for the subject had the details of the exam posted, so don't worry, it'll probably be on the LMS sometime soon.

Is it possible that there are marking errors for computer-based MC tests?

It's _possible_ but unlikely. If you got an extremely low score (eg 12/50) that makes it more likely than if you were just under your expectations (eg 30/50).
