yeah, I liked section 1 and 2 but I may have failed section 3. i have such an artsy brain. I don't know if I can make any appreciable improvements by au gamsat for s3, it looks like you need to have some innate skills in reasoning/logic that you're either born with develop over a long period of time.

My S3 jumped up 10+ points (although first time was a practice run...which I regret. Dat $$$). Pretty much brush up on your basic maths skills, get into the habit of rounding everything, learn to read graphs, and you're good to go (assuming science background).

S2 on the other hand...notevenonce.

No praise the lord. Wondering how anyone who did manage to sit it was able to set aside time from their uni work for preparation.
It would be ideal if it were held during the midsemester break, I would also imagine many more applicants would be willing to sit it if that were the case.

Yeah I felt that S1 and S2 were better than in March. S3 was around the same though.

And they also ran everything a lot more efficiently at Caulfield, if the March one was held there it would be fkn awesome.

I think you can improve S3 though! Try getting your hands at millions of practise questions and do them, your scientific reasoning will get better.

There were a decent amount of people there, maybe 300-400? I managed to get in about an hour a day during uni days due to not having to do a breadth but even that was hard to manage

Hey guys, wondering if anyone recommends doing a summer semester?

I'm looking to do one next year (will be my second year of BSc), but I'm not sure what to pick. There aren't many level 2 breadth subjects, but I'm not sure about the actual core subjects.

Also, would it be detrimental (to my GPA) if I picked a level 1 breadth?

Thanks.

Just double checked the handbook, something like CLA20021: intensive beginners latin

I did a double over summer (Intensive Intermediate Spanish) and loved it. Would highly recommend. My best score so far (and will remain so I daresay haha), so anecdotally, that dispels the GPA myth.

Awesome. I might do intensive beginners Latin then :)

Also, I was wondering how GPA would be calculated if someone did a level 1 breadth in 3rd year, would it get weighted similarly to other level 3 subjects?

Yup. Weighting is based on what year of your course you did the subject in, not the level of the subject itself.

Apparently not a bad subject, but very intense! A lot of memory work; practically 8 weeks of tables of declensions :)
