Yeah when my subject would be the 'first subject' to be assigned I would always find myself uncomfortably close to the bathrooms because my ID begins with 3 and most people in my cohort had an ID beginning with 5.
I like it when I'm seated near the toilets because I need to pee every ten minutes when I'm nervous.

It sounds like the examiners are really in xenial about you two knowing each other.

People who have done personality psych/other psych subjects, do you know if we have to be able to connect studies to experimenter's names i.e. will there be questions like 'Charmanderp (2014) found that:' with four completely different studies described?
pls halp

It's been a week, still trying to get through GIT in Anatomy.
I've been having sleepless nights where the chronic stuttering has been plaguing my nightmares

I'm assuming you mean for the exam (is it still all multiple choice or have they now put in a short answer/essay section)?

If it's for a short answer question, generally it's not required and you'll get full credit for being able to describe the study without needing to name the author(s) and year. If you mean as a MC question, it's very, very unlikely and it would have to be a significantly important study (not just one mentioned in passing) for them to ask about it on the exam.

Did anyone do ESD2 last year? Do you remember the exam? How similar was it to the 2012 exam?

Thanks for the replies about the seating arrangements.

I have a particularly issue with a student and I am aware their student ID is directly after mine within my subject, so i would assume they will end up sitting right behind me. I would like to avoid being near this student, do you think the supervisors will be able to move me to a different seat at request before the exam?

I doubt it.

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you want them to sit near you. Are you afraid this student will cheat off you?

I sat that exam yeah.

I don't remember the 2012 exam for comparative purposes but I remember the programming section being much harder than in previous exams (previous exams had been a joke - I was really thrown by the difficulty in the 2013 exam).  I remember the mechanics section being pretty on par with all the practise questions/exams I'd done. I don't remember much about the digital systems component, sorry.

I remember the multi choice questions being relatively predictable, too.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, I've been so pleased with myself doing the past exams' programming sections!

I wonder if they'll give me pity marks for writing the answers in another programming language

I also sat ESD2 last year. I remember mechanics taking a lot longer than I thought it would. Programming was similar to 2012, but changed slightly so that you had to "find the REPEATED integers in a given array", which made it more difficult.

See this previous thread for all of our lovely comments on 2013 ESD2... ESD 2 - 2013 exam !

ESD2 exam is going to be heaps of fun :'D

On a semi-related note, what do you think are the chances we'll be asked to derive the equations for pendulum motion where the cable is shortening? It hasn't appeared in any of the past exams since 2009, but that makes me wonder if they'll bring it back this year D:

To be honest, I haven't even studied pendulums at all.
