haha I've accidentally ~found out the identity~ of one AN user this year by also sitting behind them at a lecture while they were typing away on AN. And another two I've guessed, and I'm 99.9% sure I'm correct

...I should ditch biomed and start working for the witness protection program or the kgb tbh

To be fair there's a big chunk of the biomed cohort that just lurks on the forum

That person was probably me or T-Ravs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Concepts in Cell/Dev Bio? She made the genetic modification series super-great (that said I still have three of those to watch :x). And yeah, she's right up the very top of my list.
Yep that's the one! Looks like it is time to play find the ANer with LeviLamp. You wouldn't happen to have some kind of Bat-Signal would you?  ;D

Is the student centre able to shuffle our subjects around in our study plan? I (stupidly) put my level 2 breadth subject in the "levels 1, 2, 3" section of my study plan, along with the two level 1 breadths I did last year. I want to do a level 1 breadth next year and it can't go in any other section of the study plan, but the "levels 1, 2, 3" section is now full. It can all work out if they can move my level 2 breadth subject into the "level 2, 3" breadth section. Please don't tell me I screwed up my study plan... T_T

Should be a quick fix with the student centre, no worries at all.

Alternatively you can e-mail them (might take a bit longer).

Phew! Thanks for that! This is all come about because I've removed my breadth subject for semester 2 and am now intending to take GENE20002 Genes and Genomes instead. Hopefully I've made a wise choice. ^_^

As I said at the start of the semester, if there was a part of BIOM20001 that took my fancy, I'd replace my breadth with a related selective in semester 2. I seem to be enjoying genetics (both in BIOM20001 and GENE20001) so it makes sense to take GENE20002 as well. I'm not sure if I want to do a genetics major yet (although at the moment I've got that covered with MIIM20002 if I do make that decision later on) but it's likely I'll end up doing a third year genetics subject if my major has a space and requires me to choose an additional subject.

I have this terrible habit of putting off assignments I don't like until the last minute, only to realise once I'm doing them that they aren't actually bad at all and I should probably stop procrastinating...

If you want to do a genetics major don't forget you have to do a second year prac subject. I was gonna do GENE20002 but ended up in a prac subject instead because I had no choice if I wanted to major in genetics

Hi guys, what are your experiences with applying for an extension for an assignment? My faculty's information page says it takes up to 5 working days to process. Do they usually take this long? 5 working days in my case would be after the due date so do I risk late submission if my request is in fact not approved? How does this work?

I never knew there was such thing as extensions for overdue assignments, except I see it only in the movies. It is just an art's thing, or are there extensions in any science subjects?
