Hmm.......I have a clash at that time with quantum physics
Let's see how this pans out

Would have thought that's the kind of class that wouldn't really mind if you were in two places at once...

If a subject on the handbook says it has 3 lecture timeslots, whereas my timetable class registration only shows one what happens? The subject is Corporate Law, is the handbook or the class registration thingo wrong?

The handbook for me is saying it has one 2-hour lecture each week, and a hour one tutorial.
On the timetable there are three options, so you can choose which one of these you want to attend.

It may be that the other two lectures are full, so it is only showing the empty one available. I think there is a Show/Hide Full button.

Is this what you are asking? As far as I can tell nothing is actually wrong.

Also, do subject offerings in mainstream disciplines change between years? Namely chem, life sciences/biosciences, and maths :P
I.e. if its Sem 1, Sem 1&2, Sem 2 will the availability stay the same to a high probability? I need to assess how accurate my course plan will be haha

Yeah for the big sciency subjects you can count on them being the same. You can look back a few years in the handbook to see if they've changed in the past. Just change the year in the url from "2016" or "current" to "2013" or "2012" or "mesozoic" or whatever. If was still the same back then it'll probably stay that way.

Feel free to shoot me a PM pertaining to getting to M.Eng through the Environments course, or the Envs/Eng courses in general.

Unless you're doing physics, in which case I'd be careful. 2nd year physics has changed completely this year and I hear 3rd year physics is changing next year

Hi guys,
I'm in first year and I am sorta confused about text books.
For chem should I purchase the zumdahl chem principles and organic chem books, or the Chemistry3 textbook

As for physics
Do I purchase the college physics:stragetic text book, or physics volume 1 by cengage

very confused

Is there any way of knowing which text books will be prescribed before week 1 of the semester? This has to be one of the most annoying things i find about university. I would love to organize my text books BEFORE semester starts, and even perhaps have a light read of the content i will be studying. But no, I will have to wait because "Prescribed Texts: You will be advised of prescribed texts by your lecturer.". By the time I buy the book second hand it's usually week 3.

Sometimes the prescribed books are written in the handbook, maybe check that out :)

I think you can search for your prescribed textbooks on the Co-op website under the orange "Find your textbooks" tab

in most cases, you won't need the textbooks. i bought the chem one and i only used it like twice? try the first few weeks without textbooks and see how you go

Sometime the lecturers tell you during the first week on which textbook is best...but by the time you'll be dying while waiting in the queue for Co-op haha
I suggest buy them now by looking on the handbook or asking other people :)
