UMAT = fml

Just my thoughts on the day

I have heard that MedEntry pays X amount of students to go into the test and their job is nothing more than to memorise and report back as much as they can remember...

Wouldn't at all be surprised

So when some people have different questions to another, how do they make it fair, becuase that octagonal question i was talking about was really hard.... and lots of people i talked to didn't have it,

i trust acer to do some weird statistical moderation stuff though, they will probably make it relatively fair in the end.

thoughts/?

MedEntry said that they 'were unlikely to count' :)

BTW: Did anyone see Jana Rawlinson (formerly Jana Pittman, olympic gold medalist etc.) there, in the afternoon sesh?

thats kinda lame isnt it? if it doesnt count coz what happens to the ppl who spent like heaps of time on it which probably hindered them in other questions as well. also what happens to those who actually get it right?  note im only annoyed since i got it right im pretty sure and took me a while to do it like 5minutes+.. T_T

Yeah and there are people who guessed the answer correctly... spending like 2 seconds on it... there is really no way of them knowing how much time you spent on it. In reality, you should have identified that question to be rather difficult and moved on and possibly came back to it later. Sorry if I sound so critical, I guess it's just tough luck.

I found the pearl weighing question difficult initially, so I skipped it and attempted it again when I finished all the other questions. I think I got the hang of what to do, but I definitely spent more than the recommended time for each question for that set.

 its cool im just venting =( haha i found that to be one of the easier questions for me =P coz it was like a 5 part question which meant if u got the trick of it correct from the first one the question following were easier. but most questions seemed relatively difficult xD

oh k , yeah i didn't get the false positive false negative or whatever you fellas are talking about.

yeah i guess it was my own fault for spending too long on that question.. but I think i did alright aprt from that, so I feel I am in a better position now, if that was in fact a test question.

Was one of the s3 questions messed up? I remembered there was 2 squares that had the same pattern (pretty sure they are right) and the only difference is the background. Now, the grid in the question is a 3x3 one and across rows the patterns are the same. However, neither of the options had the  same pattern in the row of which it was missing. IIRC, none of the options in fact had that background pattern. Anyone notice this?

Is this the one with the triangles? I remember thinking the same thing, but I just went with the option that connected the triangles best. Still, was a stupid question. :P
