As far as I know, just be prepared for your liver to take a beating. Well, more of one than the usual uni experience I guess.

Isn't Mannix College the Christian one where they cook your meals for you?
They have an honesty system re: people sleeping over ;)

Mannix College is kind of separated from all the other dorms though... all the others are on the opposite side of Monash.

yep

They also offer free tutors for a lot of subjects. My friend there has someone to look over his law assignments and someone else to practice speaking French with for example... lucky bastard

If I am correct, Mannix is the only "Residential College" at Monash.

All the others are "Halls." (no meals)

Do the "Halls" have social functions and a sense of community (academia, activities) comparable to that of Mannix?

I know Farrer (sp?) does, my friend is the RA there and she's always uploading event and activity pictures and letting everyone from Farrer on her facebook know about their upcoming events. They all know each other and stuff. But I'd prefer to stay at a place where they cook you meals, haha. The menus sound delicious and I'm lazy.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHHAHA HAHAHA AHAHA HA HA.  I did 2 years there and I don't think I met anyone who was christian. Best 2 years of my life. There are no rules 'sleepovers' the 'honesty system' you refer to is urban myth. We do have 'floor boards' but that is  just a competition as to who has had the most sex each semester. So think $1 drinks, foam parties, toga parties, no supervision, 250 18-21 year olds living together and beds only a short walk away. This is basically mannix my goods friends. Brave it if you dare.
