Ok so Deakin are starting a 3.5 year optometry course. Does anyone know anything about it?

No idea yet, apperantly there are no prerequistes and I can't find a score anywhere. But they are talking about it at there open days so maybe they'll know there? Other scores are high 90's and melb uni is a post graduate. But hopefully being deakin it might be lower? Fingers crossed

I would think you'll need at least 95 since its pure ATAR.

Ill be honest it wont be 95 due to location, I know Dentistry at La Trobe is high but that is an exception. Also its a new course and they might not get big numbers in its first year.

Professional recognition: Deakin Optometry graduates will be eligibleto apply for registration with the Optometry Board of Australia (part of the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority), and the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board of New Zealand (subject to accreditation). Once registered to practise in Australia, optometrists are eligible to register as a Medicare Service Provider.
