The IR question was rubbished by all the assessors, so the Chief Examiner took it back to the exam writers (it's the writers' decision for MC qns) saying it was a cruddy qn. Exam writers have the final say.

Not sure what the writers' decision was though.

hmmm, well i did go and research up that IR stuff, and apparently all of the options would have made a difference, the question was badly worded anyway
cause if the answer IS mass, then how does it explain why C-C and C=C would have different IR absorptions, if you get what im trying to say

but yeahh, i hope they do take that question out (just cause i know i got it wrong anyway ;)) :P

btw @thushan, congrats on the 50's ;)

Yeh me too, did so many stupid mistakes, there wasn't really too much on the exam that was hard. I predicted both my marks for Chem [A] and Physics [A+] :)
I hope i'm around the border for A+ as well. My exam predictions failed though. Thought i'd get ~B for physics and A+ for chem  :-\

I can just see us having a similar convosation at the end of the year with Thushan with another 3 or 4 50's. Do it for Atar Notes Thushan!

i just love how you can get like 5 49's and people are just like, yeahh he's smart

and you get like a couple of 50's and everyones like wow, youre god!

but yeah, do it for atar notes ;)

Was seriously expecting like a B+ after all my friends who were expecting A+ got A's or lower..

Some how got an A+.. seriously do NOT know how.. must have got like 61.5 exact and scraped it.

I have heard of someone with a 38 raw (scaled 41?) :)
