Need help picking subjects for year 12!!

In a bit of a dilemma at the moment.
I知 currently in year 11 attending a private school in Victoria.
For this year I知 doing 7 subjects (Religion 3+4 compulsory), (all are 1+2) English, Methods, Accounting, Economics, Legal studies, Lote (Italian).
I did fairly well in my mid-year exams getting 75-90 across the board for all subjects bar Italian and Methods, both failed by a couple of %.
I知 really not sure what to choose next year, I know I知 definitely going to drop my Lote subject and I知 50/50 for methods.
I have to choose 5 subjects for next year (including English) and I知 really not sure whether to do both Legal studies, Eco and methods as I知 fearful that it will be far too difficult/too much work load. E.g.
- English 3+4
- Accounting 3+4
- Legal Studies 3+4
- Eco 3+4
- Methods 3+4
Do you think it is worth the risk doing Legal, Eco and Methods next year? Is legal and eco 3+4 very hard?
My other options are doing Maths: Further 3+4 and/or Business management 3+4 which I hear is a very easy subject which I could grab an easy 40 in? What should I do? Please give me your/your friend痴 experiences? Thank you

I wish to get a commerce/business/accounting etc degree at Uni

Yeah if you want to go into commerce or accounting then a score of at least 25 in methods is a prerequisite for some unis.
If your not a 'mathsy' person, then picking up further for an 'easy 40' is not the way to go. Nonetheless, there really is no such thing as an 'easy 40'. You will have to put in a lot of work in any subject to get it as your benchmark for that is the top 10% of the state.

Pick the subjects you enjoy. But also don't forget to talk to your careers advisers about any prerequisite subjects you may have to undertake.

keep methods definitely, as rohitpi said

accounting i found really easy, there's nothing hard about the content and one unit can be easily finished in 2-4 weeks(2 if you beast it, 4 if u beast occasionally), it's also good if you wish to do commerce subjects in uni. id keep it

i loved legal studies in year 11, but as i moved to year 12 i realised it was probably the people and teacher that made it such a fun subject, now i dread it and there is a tremendous amount of rote learning involved.

havent done eco, so i cant give u a say over that, but if it were up to me, i would drop legal and do eco instead. however, in saying that, much of unit 1+2 from legal repeats in legal 3+4.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I've actually really enjoyed legal this year, and the main reason i want to do it next year is that the teacher teaching the course is very, very good. Every class i've ever been in with her i've always done really well A+'s etc..  hmm So year 12 Legal is not too  difficult?

3/4 Legal is very time consuming.
Not difficult, but to learn the content thoroughly you would have to spend alot of time studying it, so if you generally enjoy it, do pick Legal.

Having done Accounting last year - I think it's much easier than Legal Studies; which I'm doing this year. Legal Studies as Liuy pointed out, is very time-consuming because there is so much to know in-detail. The other downside I've found is that the content can be quite dry and boring at times. That's just fact. Other than that, if you really enjoy the subject and are doing well in it, then by all means do it next year. With Accounting, it's more-so minimising mistakes and silly errors; whereas with Legal Studies - it's about knowing how to answer the question succinctly to get the marks. If you can do that next year in both those subjects, then you'll score highly. Good luck.
