It depends on a number of factors.
Firstly, how strong is the cohort at your school? If it's very strong, then your SAC marks should be adjusted to be slightly higher. If not, then your SAC score is probably going to remain the same or possibly even decrease.
Secondly, do you know precisely how well you went for the accounting mid-year exam? I'm unfamiliar with how difficult accounting and other economic subjects are, but I imagine that losing more than a few marks would result in quite a significant decrease in study score. With that said, if you scored a very high A, then you should be in with a chance for a 40, given you ace ( by which i mean ACE) the Unit 4 exam.
In the end, your score will be determined by 2/3 exam score and 1/3 sac score ( which are moderated according to you and your cohort's performance). If you give it your best for the upcoming exam, then a SS of 40 isn't off the table ;)
Good luck :)

Theres a chance, but it will be hard.
in accounting, sacs play a comparatively lower role than in other subjects, accounting for only 33%~ of your score. the bottom 5, even in a strong cohort is likely to be quite weak, im assuming. (however, if you go to a really good school where barely anyone gets below A or A+ for their exams, its still very possible for you to get 40+) Taken the worst case scenario, that the bottom 5 of your cohort is very weak, youd need a high A+, since you got an A (the lowest A+ is given to the top 10% and a 40+ to the top 8%) to get your 40+.
If not a high A+,
id assume ud get something like a B - B+ for your SACs if your school is average, and if its good perhaps an A.
And a low A+ on your exam would yield an overall study score of around 37

A bit off topic guys, but are there any advantages of having a weak cohort ?

i reckon the only advantage is if you can get rank 1.
