For me, the most important thing you need throughout chemistry 3/4 is a friend who is borderline fanatic about chem. That way, she can poke you awake in chem class, and you can reverse roles in biology class. ^_^

On a practical note, though, unit 3 covers stoichiometry (such as titrations, back-titrations, mole ratio,etc..) and organic chemistry (the four groups of biomolecules, organic pathways).
Unit 4 covers energy and redox reactions (try and learn this in Year 11!! Galvanic cells can really be confusing!)

This is basically all i know about chemistry units 3/4. If you're like me, who doesn't like the subject and doesn't understand the teacher at all that much, you can do the following to pass:
a) get a tutor who can actually explain to you how and why things work, and who can answer your questions
b) re-read the textbook + any resource you can find preferably before the class
c) interrogate ATARnotes superstars in this forum
d) do as many practice exam questions as early as possible
e) attend lectures before the unit, and revision lectures when nearing exam time
f) cram
