Stressing

I don't know if anyone else is stressing to the highest of all levels but seeing as it's year12 i'd assume many of us are. I feel like there's still so much to do and perfect on but just not enought time, and really there isn't enough time but yeah. In these last 3 weeks before the holidays i have so many SACs and Outcomes due i just feel like i can't get them all done.
Anyway, before i started rambling i was wanting to ask how do you cope with stress? Because i've noticed that i can't think properly with such high stress levels.

I guess you just need to relax. I know, that probably doesn't sound like good advice. But even though there is heaps to be done, you can do it if you allocate your time well. It might help you at the start of each day (or week) to plan all the things you want to get done and then, after that, just focus on each thing at a time.

try to just get on with your work and not think about the overwhelming feelings of exams and no time etc. fact is, sure we don't have much time but if the previous year students were able to do it, then it should not be any different for us. Not like they had more time than us, and term three is known for being the sac overload term. so just get on with your work and you will be fine.

p.s i used to think the same for many weeks that i would be completely crammed with sacs, and always thought how on earth am i really gonna do this all, yet the week would pass and i would have completed everything required.

one thing that yr 12 has taught me was that we all have more will power in ourselves than ever thought. i have done much that i believed exceeded my ability. each time i proved myself wrong.

good luck!

Planning is a must. Also tell yourself that the exams are worth so much more than a few upcoming SACs. Most students are in the exact same situation as you. Therefore it's reasonable to suggest that most students during this period lose their spark and drop some marks here and there.

I would suggest putting exams out of your head for the time being. If you get a spare night here and there, finish any prep work you need before you start smashing exams, but until all your SACs are finished, don't worry about exams. Focus on the present and don't stress about the future!

I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

Thank you so much for all the advice. I'll definitely try and not think about the exams until the holidays and just plan when to do each SAC prep. and outcomes.

Thank you again.

When I get stressed, mainly from running away from the po-po's, my advice is to find a good hiding spot, and to smoke some old bush weeds. It really hits the spot. Ahh, such is life.
