Business Management

I'm actually thinking about picking up Business Management next year, I heard it's just an easier version of Accounting.

Since I'm beasting Accounting, will I get a 50 in BM?

Discuss.

Probably not with that arrogance. Just because your evidently good at accounting, doesn't make you a shoe-in 50 for all other commerce. And if BM was so easy, more people would be doing it.

Not sure what you hope to achieve (other than -30 respect) through your recent posts...

BM is not hard to do well. HOWEVER, it requires time and it requires persistence. You can't wing it as a subject, because by the end of the year you will need to know ~200 definitions relatively off by heart. But if you're willing to set aside time to learn these, and perfect your answering technique, then yeah, you can expect to do quite well.

Being an absolute ass will get you nowhere, just saying.

And if you took the time to read through the study design, you would realise BM has little to do with accounting as accounting is to do with bookkeeping and evaluating the performance of a business, whereas BM is about managing the operations of a business.

You started a thread so we can tell you how you will go in BM next year when none of us know who you are or your skills apart from the fact that you claim to be a wizard at accounting.

BM is not an easy subject if you think you can cruise through doing no revision and get a 50.
It's nothing like accounting, there's no numbers and practical work in which accounting involves..
It's more theory.

Accounting exams = 40% theory
BM exams = 100% theory

I'm just an average student who works hard at BM and gets good marks, it's all about writing up comprehensive notes and rope learning perfect answers...  + having the highest quality BM teacher in VIC like the one at MGS <3

Pull your head in mate. I'm sure you're good at Accounting, but you haven't got your SS yet, hence haven't got the Premier's Award you think you've got sewn up as you mentioned in other threads. You're putting unnecessary pressure on yourself to do well; VCE is difficult enough as it is.

As for Business Management, my view is that if you're pretty switched on, with decent teachers and hard work, a 40 SS is attainable for most. However people don't just pluck 50s out of their bum in BM; it requires not only knowing the vast amount of content, but being able to apply it and express yourself in an eloquent and assured fashion while you're at it.

I suggest you rethink your unfounded confidence towards your VCE, otherwise if you fall it will be a very hard fall.

If you don't get your 'Premier's award' enjoy the ridicule and embrassment you will experience. I found business unit 2 quite enjoyable, and from the 3+4 I have seen its quite nice. Funny that I get asked about Sac's seeing I'm not in that class anymore.
