Everyone's pretty much already said it... good diet and exercise; give in to the 3:30itis and take a nap when you come home from school if you want; try 10 hours sleep if 8 isn't enough because everyone is different (teenagers need more sleep than adults anyway).

I'm only getting ~7 hours of sleep a night during the week and am usually tired (especially in the mornings)... exercise + diet is never a replacement for sleep - I exercise 5 times a week and eat pretty healthy but still feel pretty tired throughout the week. But I know as well as you guys do that this can't always be helped in year 12. Probably best to suck it up during the week then use the weekend to catch up on much needed sleep - it's not the best solution but I find it keeps me going...

Exercise actually reduces fatigue and lack of exercise makes you feel more tired (paradox i know).

Could also do what i did and head down to the pharmacy and load up on nodoz.

No joke, i have an alarm on my phone, which goes off at 4pm (prime time to watch scrubs) which says 'shits gone down'. I used to just turn it off and watch scrubs anyway.

Story of my life.

Myself three weeks ago - Time to finish all my notes + revision + SACs!

Myself now - Watched seasons 1-3 of Breaking Bad, 1 of Freaks and Geeks, 1 of Undeclared, and the usual assortment of Arrested Development.
2011 - English, English Language, Philosophy, Indonesian SL, Outdoor and Environmental Studies.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

don't eat carbs to keep you awake. They actually make you feel sleepier (so if you do actually wanna feel sleepy because you're struggling to go to sleep eat carbs)
Protein based foods will keep you awake, so for dinner eat fish, meat and snacks like nuts, etc.

With my tiredness, I can usually go on with 6 hours sleep, but this week has just been murder with sac after sac after sac, and havent got much time to sleep in for the holidays. Lectures from this weekend, coaching mid week next week, more lectures and then trial exams. WASTED!!! and not a good time for it
