methods unit 3&4

just some questions..

the continuous random variable T has the probability density function

f(t)= { (t+1)/8  -1≤t≤k
            0          otherwise

the value of k is:
A - 0
B - 1
C - 2
D - 3
E - 8

please help :)

0
integrate (t+1)/8 from -1 to k and make it = 1. Then solve for k, do it on the calculator :)

oh yea, just remembered you had to make it equal 1. have no idea how i forgot that :/
