what is the relationship between sources of change and driving and restraining forces of change ?

They are essentially the same thing. All three can act as the other two.

Situation: An LSO is downsizing due to the GFC
Example: The source of change will be management as they are choosing to reduce their work force in order to remain competitive in terms of profits, and therefore the driving force to the change is management (as they are initiating, encouraging and supporting this change), whereas employees are the restraining force as they will create resistance by not accepting the change which is being put into place.

They can influence the change by accepting and allowing it to be fully incorporated into the organisation OR inhibiting it by refusing the change. Now I can confirm that the management is the driving force of the change, and the economic force, or the 'GFC' is infact the SOURCE of the change.
