Further Exam Scores

Hi, I can't seem to find VCAA statistics about previous exam performances, so I was wondering whether any of you knew the answer to my question.

Hypothetically, if you have a perfect SAC average in Unit 3 & 4 (100%) and stand at the top in your school cohort, what percentage would be required in the exams to get a 50? SAC marks don't count towards the final study score as much as the exams, for they are not a true indicator of how we stand in the state. Then what should that student aim for to get a high study score?

I realise that each mark lost affects the overall score significantly, so I'm worried about how well we need to do. If you could help me out, I would really appreciate it! :)

My friend last year also had a 100% average in the SACs.
He said he lost 2 marks in the exam and ultimately got 48.

Thanks! That could be good and bad news, I guess :D
Hold on, were those 2 marks including both Exam 1 and 2? I had no idea it was THAT easy for your study score to drop down from losing only a few marks!
Yet that means that there's at least some hope to get over 40 :)

That's how much it affects the high end, obviously if you lose 10 marks (for example) it wouldn't equate to a study score of 40, it would probably be more like 42-45 or something. Further is hugely competitive at the top end, so a few marks off the exam makes a big difference to study score.
