Disclaimer: If you haven't done VCAA 2008, 2009 or 2010 already, it's possible that these graphs will give away the answers for you.

You might have heard that C is the most common answer for multiple choice. So I went and looked at the data for each detailed study for the past three VCAA exams and this is what I got:

The y axis represents how many times that answer came up.

So there you have it. If you're going to guess wildly (please don't),
For Synchrotron: Pick B
For Photonics: Pick C
For Sound: Pick C

Interesting that D is least popular at 13% for all detailed studies.

Of course, I only used three exams for my data. I also may have made an error when I had to manually transcribe the answers because I couldn't just import the data easily (I sourced these from iTute's VCAA solutions).

It took only took 20 minutes to get all the data into the spreadsheet and then all I had to do is create the graphs :P

Too bad I didn't end up producing some useful like b^3's practice exam thingy

If you enjoyed that then I wouldn't mind it for Psych...:P

For 08-010 ('11 doesn't separate the AOS)

I was about to, but then I saw how many questions there are for psych.
I'm too lazy to do all that manually :P

Wow in 2010 A was never correct for photonics. The probability of that happening is like 0.03167635 (yes I used a binomial distribution)

Might have been a transcription error by me or iTute.

That's still over a 3% chance, i.e. one in about 33, which isn't really that crazy! ;)
