Pathology Major?

I was just wondering if anyone here is doing, or knows someone doing, a pathology major?
I'm thinking of doing it, but would like to know how people are finding it. Is it ridiculously hard?

Cheers.

I know a bunch of people doing pathology subjects (I'm doing one myself), but not that many people go for straight pathology in biomed over defence and disease.

From my experience, it's interesting theory but it soon gets very annoying. There's lots to memorize, lots to know and recognize (that cell has fragmented nuclei and the stain we used is very dark, but it's also a small cell so what could it be?). I found it stimulating intellectually but there was too much emphasis on detail that I thought wasn't that significant. I get bits of it in my major, which is enough to keep me going :P

Awesome. Thanks for the info Russ. Do you think the subjects from the defence and disease major would have the same problems?

Defence and disease incorporates immunology, which is why a lot of people choose it over pathology. Those problems are really a matter of opinion - some people love the very practical/real world aspect, but imo, they're common to any pathology subject, because they all involve the same basic process.
