My Tips:
Chillax!  There will be very nice people who will do the Oral Exam. For the First part should try to be able to tell interesting things about yourself, such as what your favorite subject is and why. They are likely to want to hear that, and you should be able to tell them what you study in your favorite subject. They'll ask you things like what you do in your spare time and whether you have a part time job.  Try to say things like that you like to do in your spare time X (substitute your favorite activities here) but say that you haven't been able to pursue this lately as you are busy studying for your VCE. They love this kinda stuff as it shows that you brought at least  a bit a of humor to the exam.

If they ask, tell them about career aspirations how you intend to get there, and your plans for next year. If you are not quite sure, tell them that there are so many things out there and you haven't made up your made yet.

PART 2

Be sure that you know your topic from back to front. They will ask you about what topic you have studied for your detailed study. Respond by giving a little intro, but don't say too much!. Then they'll ask you for your sources.

When instructed, talk about the contends of the sources. What you have learned, etc. They'll ask you a few questions about your topic. If you can't respond, say that your sources did not give you the requested information. They'll ask you to give opinions on a few things. What I have done was give opinions throughout my discussion without being prompted to do so - it's a good idea however leave them enough space to ask you for opinions as well.

Also, I found it quite intimidating when they were doing their notes so secretly, so make sure you keep eye contact with the examiners  instead.

Thelimz:
I ordered my statement of marks for German and found out that I got 196/200 in the oral. Although my overall marks were A+ A A+, I didn't seem to save me too much, but my trick was literally reciting set blocks that I've memorised and was prepared for any question. Preparation is the key.
