Just letting some who may not know, sometimes when graphing the function and points may be all overlapping. You can move the function: eg- f1(x)= x^2+4x-7  by pressing the middle button until the hand grabs on it then you can move it to where you desire and press the middle button to let go.

Any idea on how i can update when my 30 day trial for the software has expired???

Its so stupid you need the serial code from the original packaging..not the calculator itself!!

i threw the damn plastic packaging straight away!

Me too, I have no idea where the key for it is.

I didn't receive a key for it with my Nspire, the packaging outlined that it only came with a trial version of the software.

I believe the new nspires come with a full key. I know because my brother bought one last year, and hence I have the full software :P

Oh yeah, probably should mention that to update you can just use TI Computer Link which is free off their website.

This might be the new version of the computer link but I'm not sure, I'm trying it now.

The web page for it seems to have disappeared, but I still had this bookmarked:
http://edudownload.ti.com/downloads/files/cdn/clink/TI-NspireLink.exe

TI Connect is for other TI calculators

Edit: took a guess and this should be the Mac version: http://edudownload.ti.com/downloads/files/cdn/clink/TI-NspireLink.dmg

Just did some googling, and the rumour is that TI-Nspire Computer Link clashes with Nspire Student Software on Windows, which is why they removed it. It still works fine for updating and such - but I guess don't run it if you have the student software (though you wouldn't need it if you had the student software).

Edit II: For those running a Linux or FreeBSD OS, this is an open source alternative http://lpg.ticalc.org/prj_tilp/features.html. There's Windows binaries for that one as well. I haven't used this one though.

This is random, but the fastest way to fill in a 4x4 matrix on the NSpire is to go anti-clockwise, starting from the default place :)
