Plans over Essays?

Hey guys

Just interested to know, when would be a good time to just start writing detailed plans over essays?
Obviously with a week away till the exams, time is becoming important, so would it be better to just do plans from now?

Just a bit conflicted because I want to keep increasing my writing speed as well which is done through writing essays....

i've started doing this for prompts that are not likely to be on the vcaa exam.
but in general, i wouldn't stop writing essays until the end of the actual exam.
i find generating ideas (making a plan) a lot easier than executing the writing itself so i have to spend time improving on the writing.

Depends, but i think you should keep writing entire essays until you feel that you can write them in an hour with solid ideas because you need the actual practice of writing them in their entirety.
But yeah i reckon it would be good to prepare plans for different kinds of essay question a few days before. Then maybe write an entire essay on the peculiar prompts/questions.

Also the fear of failing english will force you to continue writing! Well it will for me

How many essays are you guys doing per day atm?

Going to try doing 2 and maybe a few plans on conflict because im scared that i'll get raped by it

For me I am writing 4 plans for 4 similar prompts and then I choose one of them and write an essay.

I find that I take a lot longer to write if I don't have a very detailed plan, telling me exactly what to write and which direction I am going. For me, without a good plan, I tend to repeat myself and forget to include information that I planned to use.

After a few essays, you find that you often use the same points and paragraphs so planning is basically establishing what past points and paragraphs you will use for this specific prompt.
