I apologise for the bump, but does anyone know how CAE operates? Is it solely tutoring, or do they have course work and SACs throughout the year? There website provides little information

there's a weekly class for your subject, usually a block of about 3hrs.
you can look at the timetable info on the website to get an idea about that.

you work through the course in class and through homework, and sacs are given in class time during the year.  I don't know anything about tutors as part of the cae.  The teacher should be able to help you with anything you're struggling with, though i know of people who had external tutors.

Exams at the end of the year are done at the cae, or at your home school if you're the cae is not your main school.

From what I know, CAE is one of the best providers of VCE for adults.

It is a bit daunting to do yet another year of VCE... But it'll be practically a gap year - being able to fit in some travel and only having to attend class 2 days a week. Sounds good considering I need some prerequisite subjects  :).

VCE at TAFE doesn't necessarily mean you're repeating VCE.

You could be actually be doing your VCE there or just doing single subjects (e.g. an alternate option to distance ed when your school doesn't offer the subject)
