Aiming specifically at the people studying whose reality for context this year, what ideas do you have in regards to you're external topics and examples... I seem to be stumped for ideas which would cover most possible prompts for the exam

Tiger Woods. A successful Golfer with all the advertising contracts in the world, whereas his personal life is a mess.
Muammar Gaddafi's belief that his people loved him
London Riots
Paracosm

It depends however on what the question will be. If I can't use any of them, I'll just make something up on the spot.
Law is a kind of justice. It is not perfect justice, it is only a kind of justice.

- John Young, Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

I have been looking at a few people/events and their impact:

- Jesus Christ
- French Revolution
- AIDS Scare
- Galileo Galilei
- Boris Pasternak (author of Doctor Zhivago)
- Julias and Ethel Rosenberg and their link with McCarthyism

Well I'm planning on doing an expository essay, so external examples will play enormous importance for me!

As a general rule, pick external examples that are relevant or related to the context of the text. I don't do Whose Reality so i cant give an example, but eg. if your text is about aboriginals then your external sources would be more appropriate if it was like the National apology, Charles Perkin, Eddie Mabo, Myall Creek massacre etc.
