Detailed steps of psychologists' experiments?

Hi all
Are you guys learning the specific steps regarding each learning theorists' experiments? Like for example - learning the actual procedure and experimental design.. along with the specific participant numbers down to the last detail etc
I've only spent time learning the findings and briefly learnt the basic account of the experiments.. not really in obsessive detail. Thoughts if we should bother/you did or did not?

THe neap trial exam has a 10 mark question 'Provide a detailed outline and explanation for every step undertaken in designing a psychological experiment'. So I would assume that it has relevance to the course. If anyone has the answer to this question can they post it? thanks

If you can fit it all in your brain then yes but if not (I definitely can't!), then I don't think it's necessary to know each and every specific step The main things I'd know are:

Researcher
type of learning they studied (and the definition of that type of learning)
brief explanation of their experiment
findings of experiment
real life example of the learning found from that study, (e.g. taste aversion or whatever)
limitations of their study (if there are any)

Information like participant numbers is definitely not important, I think

You'll find that the higher the person's aim the more 'shit' they know.

for eg, the mean age for 1961 (bandura) was 52months and he used 72 people from a preschool at Stanford Uni.

I mean I know that shit but the chances of that coming up is <0.01%
