Role of VicHealth in regards to health promotion: to give financial grants to a range of programs and organisations that promote health in Victoria.

Role of AusAID In promoting health and sustainable human development: to decide where Australia gives it's aid to and these programs will promote health etc.

Role of NGOs in Promoting healthy eating: programs? Sorry dinners ready and I'm on my phone haha, I'll try reply properly later

The Role of NGOs in promoting healthy eating would have to be programs that focus on education about healthy eating as well as programs that promote food security such as the 'Food for Assets' program run by the World Food Programme (my example for food security)

My response:

'The Walking School Bus' is an initiative developed by VicHealth which is designed to encourage
school kids to walk to school, rather than be driven. It creates supportive environments in that
kids complete the walk together as a group. It also incorporates reorienting health services as it
aims to prevent obesity and related diseases rather than just diagnosing and treating them
once they occur.


Would you say that this is a reasonable answer for 3 marks?
