Menang:
In 2008 it was Philosophy of Science.
In 2009 it was Philosophy of Mind.
Last year it was Science again.
What do you think will happen this year? :)
Pattern suggests philosophy of mind, but personally I'm stronger with philosophy of science. They might just repeat! :)
tullfrog:
I would predict that it will be philosophy of science and because this prediction is risky and testable it is scientific. And science wouldn't lie to us now would it?

But your conjecture is still based on the inductive conclusion that scientific predictions are risky and testable, and as induction is rationally unjustified, so is your argument! :P

What? It's not an inductive conclusion! It's a relation of ideas. Scientific predictions are necessarily risky and testable or else they would not be scientific! Popper's project is proscriptive, not descriptive, so induction is not used!
Ghost!:
Oh God you guys are much better prepared or this exam than me.
I thinkkkkk it's going to be the Philosophy of Science again based on the results of 2009 andddd also because my teacher told me so!
Also, I was going to start another thread but why bother. What's everyone got planned over the next couple of days leading up to the exam?
