MUEP Biology

Namit:
Hey,
Has anyone done MUEP biol or does anyone know how it compares with 3/4 Biol in terms of coursework? / is it worth it?

If I do decide to try out for it, if anything I'll choose the off-campus course cause I can't go to Melbourne 3 times a week as I'm from the country, so I was wondering if anyone could share some light on this!

O and My vce subjects are.. biol and further 3/4 this year, 2012: chem, spec, methods, english language, physics..

7 in total :D. hence why i'm curious to know how muep biol is, because if its a breeze as compared to 3/4, i'd do it for the increments...!

REBORN:
You'd need a 90 avg for 5.0

I highly doubt any Uni subj. would be a "breeze"

Namit:
True,  and well.. obviously wouldn't be something that requires no work, but from what I've read around the forums regarding uni biol, its meant to be easier than vce and stuff..  but I'd rather listen to more than 1 person :D

Russ:
It's not that it's easier than VCE, it's more that it has a large degree of overlap so you're doing a lot of revision of 3/4.

I don't know how increments work, but in general getting over 80 is fairly tough and is a pretty decent achievement. So if you're willing to settle for a lower increment to be able to study biology further, then it's worth it (extension subjects are about extending yourself not min/maxing your study score)

Furbob:
my two friends who are doing biology said that there's a lot of 3/4 overlap - oh and monash will send you a dead rat in your mail to dissect for a prac report. enjoy?
