VCAA 2007 - Geometry

Question 4b in geometry.

So in question 4a. I worked out that 3/4 of the height of the pyramid has been removed, therefore 1/4 of the height is remaining.

In question 4b. it asks what fractionb of the volume of the pyramid is remaining.
Since there is 1/4 remaining, I did (1/4)^3. However in the answers, they did (1 - (3/4)^3).
Why can't I use my method and why aren't the answers the same?

some dude
