What do you think?!

Hi guys, in VCAA exam 2 (2006), Graphs and relations question 3e.  Why was the point (2,6) chosen.  Doesn't the maximum usually occur at one of the corners of the feasible region???  So shouldn't they use the point (2.86,5.71), where the two lines intersect???

Thanks so much

Good luck!!! ;D

You cannot use the points you proposed because you cannot have 2.86 dogs washed in a day and 5.71 clipped. They need to be whole numbers.

I don't do Graphs and Relations, but based on seretide's answer, because (2,6) is probably the closest point consisting of integers.
