Promotion Programs + VicHealth
(1/1)
observer7:
In terms of programs..
A VicHealth funded project: 'Victoria Walks' - encourages people to walk instead of using vehicles which promotes healthy lifestyles
and reduces the risk of obesity and associated diseases - is that ok?
Program Addressing Malaria: 'Malaria in Pregnancy Working Group' (MPWG) - provides strategic advice on best practices for scaling
up interventions for the prevention and control of malaria during pregnancy. - is that also okay?
Originally I had Roll Back Malaria as the actual program but when I researched it I found that it was an organisation, not a program.
bubsel:
I use Victoria Walks for my VicHealth funded project for 'Increasing Physical Activity'.
You could always incorporate the minor strategies underneath Victoria walks such as 'Victoria walks to school' or 'Walk the Block' to promote physical activity among school children and employees who work in sedentary jobs.
With the malaria program, just make sure you're giving specific examples of the implementation of the program that relate back to the reason (therefore global health + SHD) :)
