Can someone explain to me how much the strength of your cohort affects your study score. Especially if the cohort was weak.

basically, your sacs rank you against people in your cohort
so, say your ranked 5th/20 in a school of high achievers who all aim for 35+ (strong cohort)
that is better than being ranked second in a cohort of people who dont care about the subject as long as they pass(weak cohort)

vcaa will recognise that getting a higher rank amongst smarter students is more difficult, and will scale the results accordingly

But if you get a high rank (top 3 in the cohort for example) in a weak cohort, it won't matter?

if you get number 1 it doesnt matter
if you get anything other than that it does

So my results are probably going to be affected because a lot of other people in my class hardly tried in the subject?

So being ranked 2nd or 3rd instead of 1st, how much does that really affect your score?
shoved my thumb up my grandma's cat's butthole when I was 8..

...seemed funny at the time kk? :(
