Passing a bill through parliament

So I has conundrum!

My book says, that after passing a bill through the upper house, it returns to the lower house whether amendments have been made or not. So is it seems that it is a perpetual loop between the lower and upper house. Does it go from lower house to the crown, if it is passed by the lower house again.... or?

If you have the book 'Making and Breaking The Law', it is on page 80 under 'Upper House'.

Crappy explanation at its finest.

Again, any help would be good. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that it has to pass both houses twice.

it depends. It must pass through both houses, regardless of which house it is initiated in. If amendments are made in one house, it must be approved by the other and vice-versa. The only time it doesn't have to go through both houses is if its a referendum. one house twice is fine if the GG allows it.
