[h+] = 2 x [h2so4]? (even though the second ionisation reaction is not complete)

oh right! so we treat it just like HCl as the second ionisation is negligible.thanks zool3!

Moderator Action: Locked. There are too many simultaneous discussions in different threads on how to deal with ionization of polyprotic acids. This is redundant.

ESPECIALLY do not use generic topic names. 'Can someone clarify this?' does not let people know what this thread is about. Try '[H+] in H2SO4' or something specific.
