Hi, I plan to write one essay every week or fortnight and get my english to mark it, but would that be ineffective in terms of feedback as only one person would be reading my essay and providing similar feedback and ideas?

It probably would be ineffective.

I'm assuming your school has more than one English teacher. You could just hand some essays to a particular teacher and then hand another essay to another teacher etc.

Alternatively, a large number of tutors (myself included) are willing to mark essays for a price.
