Thanks for the wishes everyone!
Lecturers are 100% normal haha. So different to highschool where the teacher is above you in age, rank and authority. In year 11 & 12, at a separate campus, we could call teachers by their first name so it eased it in a bit. Really though they are just ordinary people, it does hit you when they make some obscure reference that you get (one of my pharmacology lecturers talks about video-games, a religion one makes Indiana Jones references, etc).
I used to keep a journal off and on, haven't done it in awhile. I never re-read it, it was more helpful in that it lets you have an internal dialogue to talk things out and see things from a different perspective.

In other news, keep your eyes peeled for exam dates out soon (or like 3 weeks ago if you know someone who works for Monash). You only get one week off to study. After that, exams are allowed to be scheduled. Try stay ontop of things because you could be unlucky and get an exam (or more) the very first day after the SWOTVAC study break. If you're 30 lectures behind in each of your subjects, being hit in the first week is crippling. I've been there...it will not end well
Get ontop of your shit now so you dont get stung.
