Anyone ride a motorbike to uni? If so do you leave your jacket on your bike or carry it around?

It depends, how much was the lab worth?

If the lab is worth 10% and you got a D, i assume you got 70%. So, you got 7% of your total mark for the semester there.

If the mid-semester is worth 10% and you get 0% (highly unlikely) then your maximum mark for the subject is 87% assuming you get 100% in everything else.

More likely, assuming you just get 50% on your mid-sem, you get 5% to your mark for the subject. Your maximum possible mark is (10+10)-(7+5)-100.
This confused the shit out of me tbh. Lab is worth 3%. Reckon I'm looking at around 30-35% for midsem so..

If you were so close than I don't think it would affect the result that much.

I doubt you're going to fail the midsem either Anna :)

Thanks :)

I'll take that you got 70% for your lab (like slothpomba did) and that you got 30% for your midsem (because pessimism), this means that so far for your unit, you have accumulated:
70
70*0.03+30*0.1=5.1/13

100-13=87

So, you still have 87 marks you could possibly gain. In fact, ignoring the 5.1 you've currently accumulated, you could still get a HD even if you had 0 marks so far.

How likely is it to have 3 exams on one day? And even to be even more unlucky, on the first day of exams?

Impossible, since there's only two exam periods each day.

Thanks man, appreciate it !

On another note, is anyone on a break between now and 3 and would like to meet ? #procrastinating

There's an AM session and a PM session (9am and 2pm i believe..).

Very rarely you may have two exams in the exact same slot, there are procedures for this. They basically lock you down so you can't ask anyone questions about it, alternatively, it can be moved (but you'll get a different exam to everyone else, for obvious reasons).

Since its rare to have two exams on the same day, let alone two exams in the same slot, to get three exams, you would need to hit *both* these unlucky coincidences. I seriously doubt it'll happen to you. I've never gotten a really horrible exam timetable myself. It can be distributed over 3 weeks so usually with 3-4 subjects, theres at least some room (but in this case, being unlucky is fairly normal).

This would mean I get home after 8, so how about no.
