Is anybody going to the Arts Awards on the 20th? If so, does the RSVP only include the online thing that finishes with "Great! That for filling out my form!"?

I think I have filled that out twice, and I am very confused.

8th, 11th, 18th and 23. The spacing is fine, but the first three exams are in Clayton.

What the fuck Monash?

What the fuck?

The only upside to exams in my three years at uni have been that the Caulfield exam venue is close to where I live... welp, if the exam period is going to be miserable, might as well make it really, really miserable

So, we have two exams on the same day, at the same venue... Wouldn't it be kinda funny if we sat in the same hall? :P (if I share any venues with biomed people, I'll just assume you're there LOL)

Even weirder is that the other two differ by a day... (I'm the 9th and 17th instead of the 8th and 18th)

Well that's one way to look at it. My last exam's on the 25th and to me that just means less holidays.

Only my first one is a biomed exam, luckily! A 3/1 science/biomed split is pretty good tbh. Wonder why they're shoehorning a bunch of science and biomed units in Clayton this time round? Surely there's space at the racecourse

Well that's one way to look at it. My last exam's on the 25th and to me that just means less holidays.

Don't think of it like that, it's more a longer holiday interrupted by a week of SWOTVAC and a single exam, which is a pretty good deal. You don't necessarily have to study all the way up until your exam, just a week or two before should be fine.

is it possible to overload how many units you do in a semester to speed up the degree?

Yes. You can take 5 units if you have done a year at Monash and you're averaging above 60%.

More than that is possible but it's on a case by case basis and you need to apply directly to your managing faculty.

Does anyone mind reading a rough draft of an essay introduction for me please ? Preferably someone studying science or something involving science but doesn't have to be (only because the structure and and expectations and all of that is the same).

I'm not really sure how uni essays work or anything and I'm struggling so I'd really appreciate some opinions or anything, thankyou !

I think I am single-handedly putting the barista at Fibonacci's kids through university.

"Back again?" he asks with a wry smile, not needing to wait for my order, as I return for what feels like the thirtieth time that day.

Perhaps it's time to reduce my coffee intake.

Today was the first time that I have ever ordered a hot chocolate from Fibonacci.

Nick: "Hey there. Just a small soy hot chocolate, please."
Barista: "A soy what?"
Nick: "Hot chocolate."
Barista: "... Who are you?!"
