Yeah, that happens every year. :P They don't change the system over until some time after summer semester, the problem is that your units have changed over. So, the system thinks you're currently in second semester of next year - but since it doesn't actually care about what year it is, it just shows you the current booklist for this semester for the units you're doing in semester 2 next year. :P Kinda confusing, but yeah, don't take it as gospel. Legit some unit coordinators haven't even been decided yet, so.

hmm yeah figured it was a glitch for "this years" booklist although doubt any major changes to my units.

SO, finished my Physiology major and have 3 units left to finish my Science degree component. Pretty much either 2nd or 3rd year units.
Which units are the easiest from the Science faculty from experience or word of mouth? Looking for WAM boosters.

( good to be back ATARNotes <3 )

There's a sight for sore eyes!

If you can do basic trig, nature and beauty of mathematics is easy. Food chem has recently moved to a no exam model and is supposed to be pretty easy (does have first year Chem requirement, though). Also, ASP1010 and ASP1022 (second has more of a bio flavour if you can only pick one).

I didn't realise that they were demolishing the Rotunda! Are Monash building a new building there in its place?

I don't know, but I've seen pics of the work on Stalkerspace today. Seems like they've demolished a fair chunk of it already

Yeah, that's been going for a while. There going to replace it with a jazz club - and the university is supposedly using the loss of lecture theatres to try and push less lectures across the board. But, they expect teaching quality (and presumably content quantity) to be the same, which is really not possible as is for a lot of the units I'm involved in. :/

Speaking of lectures- I was told by one of the lecturers weeks ago that next year, lectures would start on the hour, and finish 10 to the hour. (As opposed to 5 past and 5 to.) Not sure if this is specific to Parkville ('coz we're special snowflakes) or Monash-wide though. :)

Lol I honestly don't see the point. I feel the 5-past-5-to makes more sense just because symmetry, but it ends up being the exact same result, so who cares?

Loss of a rotunda-shaped icon.

I mean.
Is the rotunda really an icon?

Monash has not sent me mail in the six years I've been a student.

Loss of a rotunda-shaped icon.

Apparently they're building a jazz bar in that area... gl with that Monash.
