With the 2017 Northern Hemisphere Specialist 2 exam are there worked solutions anywhere for the answers?
Not sure if anyone has posted worked solutions yet. Is there a specific question you need help with?

Hey i just realized that I don't know how to use the spread sheet and random sampling using it, do i need to be able to?

Unlikely. You should, however, understand the principles involved in random sampling, such as the Central Limit Theorem. You should also understand the effects of a bigger/smaller sample size (n) on the sampling distribution.

The right-hand angle of the triangle can be given by

This angle is the same as the angle which T1 makes with the horizontal.
Similarly, we can find the angle of the left-hand corner of the triangle

I will now work with only the forces acting parallel to the horizontal bar (i.e. directly left and right), assuming the system is in equilibrium.

So then we have

giving the answer B.

Note you can also work with the force perpendicular to the horizontal bar (i.e. up and down), and you should get the same answer.
Hope this helps :)

which is not anything standard, and Wolfram depicts it to be a hyperbola

Oh my lord they actually modified it so sorry >< there was a similar unmodified question in the past year exams with 2 answers, (c) and (d) if I'm not wrong (i did not read it properly, lesson learnt).

No H1: mean < 10

this is because the question asks "to test whether the mean lifetime is less than that claimed by the manufacturer."

If it's Exam 1 or Exam 2 Extended Response, you need to show as much working, even if it's 1 mark.

You should be able to put it into the calculator, but remember to show the other steps (ie find what each term is and I'd probably add them by hand)
Especially for difficult/long differentiations in exam 2, you should be able to just plug it into the calculator.

Hey! Welcome to the forums. In future, please provide the answer to earlier parts of a question in multi-part questions like this. Makes our life a bit easier. :)

Not knowing the first part of this question, all I can really do is start you off. The first thing you want to do is solve the DE by using separation of variables. Once you've done that, all you need to do is change your value of c so that it suits their answer.
