How many here are confident they've predicted their ATAR to about +-0.3 of their actual score?

+-0.3? For me it's more like +-2.0. I seriously don't know where I'm going to fall since I screwed english up.

haha exactly, whats the difference between finding out at 6:55 or 9:00pm as long as your sleeping. i mean if you wake up before that then by all means refresh away, but im not setting any alarms

Haha, uhmm yeah that would have been me last year..
I did a year 12 subject in year 11, and had a shocking teacher who never even showed us a study design once or told us what a study score was..
So when i got the letter in the mail i really did have not a clue what it was on about haha

surely your coordinator would of briefed you on that...or a year 12? i mean damn, so what were you aiming for on the exam

Ha, nah my school is not very academic at all, so students don't really talk about study scores/atars, ever really..
And i just did art however, so now that i look back, there definitley could be worse subjects to go study designless, i found the exam really difficult though and ended up with a 39

And in response to the question of this topic, I am definitley viewing study scores first!...as it will help to ease the painful blow of my atar

39 is still pretty good as 40 is the top 8% of the state

Exactly 10% of students get above a 90.
90 atar means you beat 90% of students.

I believe the ATAR is calculated against ALL people in the same age group, even those that dropped out of school, so I don't think it is exactly 10%. If you calculated this against only people doing VCE then I think it would be slightly higher than 10%.
