3 majors or 3 sep degrees

Hey guys,

Next year I will continue with my second year of a bachelor of commerce/bachelor of science degree and have contacted buseco about wanting to complete a double major for the commerce part of my degree. All they said was that there is a maximum of 16 units I can take, hence I can only complete one major. I have figured out that I would need 20 to complete the double major since I have some subjects that overlap between my other intended majors.
So I was just wondering, how can I be exempt from this 'maximum of 16 units' rule? Im assuming there would be a minimum grade average needed, does anyone know what it would be?
This may be a bit far-fetched but if this exemption isn't possible (although I have seen other threads that say it is), is it possible to be enrolled in two courses at once? (The course I'm doing now and another bachelor of commerce majoring in the second major) :P

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

I don't think it's possible to 'get out of' the 'rule'. For example, I'm assuming your degree is 4 years in duration. That means you can do a minimum and maximum of 32 subjects. That means 16 in commerce, 16 in science, if I'm not mistaken.

hey samuch, yeah alot of finance/actuarial studies units overlap, if you ask the buseco faculty to overload per semester you can do a double major - this is what I did. However they only allow you to do it if you have a good enough GPA/WAM.

They never told me the cutoff haha, that should be good though, however I do think they look at specific unit marks as well, say ECC1100 and ECC1000.
