In terms of studying in the months leading up to exams, I tend to have a general idea of what I'm going to try to do in a particular day or week, but I never actually wrote down a study timetable because it's just too hard to predict how long a certain task will take - even a trial exam (which has a set time) tends to take longer because you have to correct your answers and think about your mistakes...

Usually, I set my aims for a week quite high so that even if I don't finish what I wanted to do (which happens every time...) I'm still (sort of) happy with what I've done.

For me, timetabling was a form of procrastination. I found it much better to write out a prioritised list of things to do with deadlines to keep myself on track on a week to week basis. After all, the accomplishment of ticking something off is so much more satisfying than the regret/guilt of not sticking to a timetable.

Definitely don't chill if you're an average person wanting to to get REALLY HIGH scores.

For example, I chilled waay too much on the holidays, when time came for
English and Methods exams, I was screwed (in comparison to other MHS peeps).
Ended up getting 36 and 31, but other subjects saved my ATAR.
So if you aspire to do subjects such as med or law, do try to study hard
in the holidays (unless ur some sort of a genius like the MHS twins).
Even then, they study 12 hr days....

I make timetables all the time to procrastinate and make myself feel better.

I never follow them though.

 Haha, exactly!

I made one every morning in year 12 (freak, I know) and they didn't help me what so ever, as they rarely ever got followed.
However, I always made sure to include super irrelevant and minor tasks on it, so to feel as though I was getting lots accomplished, when in actual fact I wasn't at all haha :)

^To answer wenhao's query, the newspapers said that they were spending that amount of time on holidays.
But i'm sure they lead a much more accomplished life other than just studying.

Can't answer your question in depth.
But in response to you, I do see the twins quite
a lot at library (even lunchtimes) this year to study.
