Second Round Offers?

I heard Melbourne doesn't give out second round offers..

confirm/deny

'cause I have science and biomedicine as preferences 2 and 3 respectively, with MBBS at Monash being an impossible option at Number 1

I'm pretty sure I want to do science, but there is a lot about biomedicine that sounds attractive. So if sometime in the next month I realise biomedicine is the right course for me, I'd like the assurance of knowing that I'd get offers for both the courses, so I can choose at a later date, and I'm not sealing my fate in around 2 hours..

1.  You can only receive on offer per round.

2.  UoM only offers second round offers to Access Melbourne applicants only unfortunately.  There's no such thing as "middle band" where if you did do certain subjects in VCE, you get those "aggregate boosts" like Monash and other universities.

If I've put Commerce first for UoM and Science at Uom second, my atar is 94.3, could I get a second round offer for my first preference?

You won't, since your score will get you into either of them. Whatever you put higher will be the one you get and they won't offer you the second one unless you apply for an irregular offer and reject the first offer.

This is probably what will happen:

1) MBBS
2) BSc
3) BioMed

Pathway 1: - You get MBBS in 1st Round - End

Pathway 2:
- You get BSc in 1st Round
- You get MBBS in 2nd Round (I don't know if this is possible)

Pathway 3:
- You get BSc in 1st Round
- No 2nd Round offer

Essentially you'll either get MBBS or BSc, but yes you will get BSc with your ATAR, no question about it

That's if you put Science first, you can't just cling on and be indecisive, you essentially have to make a decision now, BioMed or Science
