stonecold did it! (and owned it too!)
Was semester one knowledge enough to complete section 3 stonecold?
Also, if you can afford the money, it's probably good practice for sections 1 and 2 anyway.
Ummm, I honestly don't know how I did it lol. Luckily between VCE chem and Chem for Biomed in Sem 1, you cover nearly all the chem you need to know, which is by far the hardest bit. Between VCE Bio, Semester 1 Bio and 8 weeks of Semester 2 Bio (this is when the test came around), the bio was tricky but at the same time straight forward enough for me to do. It was all pretty much interpretation of graphs and diagrams, and applying basic scientific principles. Physics I was the most screwed for. I reckon there was a good 10 or so questions where I had no idea what I was doing, and either just had to guess or deduce something on the spot. They always give you the formula for physics, which makes it very easy at times. I just had to plug in and solve for some questions. It was more the theory questions where I struggled. I had to rely on Year 11 physics and 8 weeks of Semester 2 Physics for Biomed. I was completely screwed for the sound, waves, optics and circular motion questions, yet I somehow managed to get some of the questions right I believe. You can get by with logic for a lot of it!
Anyway, don't let anyone tell you it is not possible in first year. They are full of it.
I honestly cannot see a reason for why you wouldn't do it in first year, unless you really cannot afford it.
