What should I do to prepare (starting from Jan)?

Okay this Q has probably been asked many times before, but just for the sake of convenience, could you suggest what I should do in 5 weeks? (aiming for 40+)

Since it's xmas, then New years, then weddings, then my bday.. I won't be able (bothered) to do anything atm, so I'm gonna start fresh in 2012, and probs revise everyday until school starts.
(Btw, Methods is my only 3/4 next year)

How should I do this? Study the 'harder' topics? Study the first five chapters? <Book: Essential> 
I'm kinda freaking out..  so please, be specific.

Start planning how you well break apart the course, obtain as many practice exams as you can and try to cover the course in term 1. Do a few practice exams. Repeat the course again, strengthing any weak areas. Repeat the course again. Repeat this until you feel a bit more confident.

This is what I advise you to do, it doesn't work for everyone but have a read and see if you think it will help.

Read through the study design and get a general idea of what you'll be learning/what you need to learn

Learn the chapters which you will do during the first term - ask your teacher if you don't already know.

By doing this you will be able to get the upper hand over class mates and find it easier to acquire that precious #1 rank for SACs.

After doing that see how you're going and work your way through the next chapters you will do in class.

Try and give yourself at least 2 weeks off from school work - at any point during the summer holidays (you probably have ~9 weeks to choose from. 4 of these weeks have already passed, so you may have already taken some time off) - to give yourself a rest which may prevent stress and 'burnout' occurring during the school year.

If you feel this may be too much work, or you don't like this method, revise all the unit 1&2 stuff which applies to unit 3&4 (read the study design to find out) then have a browse through all the other chapters and get a hold of the basics.
